instructions for living a life

PAY ATTENTION. BE ASTONISHED. TELL ABOUT IT.

from 'Sometimes', Mary Oliver. 2008.

Seaquer is a free-to-use, hyper-local, Eco News & Data Service that helps us to check-in on our Doorstep Nature, generating the data we need to protect our Green Places and Spaces and understand how much our Wellbeing depends on our local Nature.

It's Time to Notice

Each time you walk the dog, drop the kids off, go to the skatepark, chill with friends or lie in the grass and read a book?

Just take 5 to notice that tree, that field, that wood, that path, that birdsong, that plant, that insect or that stream.

It might sound trivial. But Seaquer can turn the data you create - just by noticing - into a living picture describing the health of our doorstep, urban Nature and the importance of that Nature to our own wellbeing.

And build an archive of data and local knowledge which can be vital to protect and remember our green spaces and places.

Check-in with your Nature

If an Eco-Point turns white, Check-in. Notice Nature. Create Eco-Notes. And Make Eco-Data.

Seaquer identifies 'Eco-Points' - the green places, spaces and spots in or near our towns and cities that are loved but often taken for granted. These Eco-Points are displayed on the home page map for the community selected.

When an Eco-Point turns white, it means a Check-in is due. Checking-in just means taking the time to notice Nature at the Eco-Point - to think, look, listen or move through a green space and report on the Nature you see, hear and feel by taking and creating Eco-Notes.

The Result? Live Eco-News & Data.

The Eco-Notes people create are used to provide a stream of Eco-News and also analysed to provide live, Eco-Point status: Green or Yellow indicates we are responding positively to the Eco-Point; if it's Red, there may be an issue. Blue is neutral. Clicking an Eco-Point drills into the Eco-Notes and Data.

Get Involved with Curiosy Challenges

Curiosy challenges are requests to notice Nature in an area on a specific day to capture lots of Eco-Data. The organiser will set a target to test your creativity, originallity and curiosity - your Curiosy.

Seaquer analyses every single Eco-Note which is uploaded - in real-time. One of the outputs of the analysis is a Curiosy score: how creative, thoughtful or curious is the Eco-Note. This Curiosy score is used to surface interesting Eco-Notes on the home page.

A Curiosy Challenge organised will set a target for Curiosy Points collected.

Taking on a challenge can improve your ability to really notice Nature - and perhaps improve the Eco-Data you collect. Once you have a Seaquer Reporter account (which is completely free), you will get emails telling you about up and coming Curiosy challenges in your Seaquer communities.

Discover the Iconic Seaquer QR Codes

You can find Points through the App or just look for Seaquer QR codes, engraved onto sustainable wood and dotted through your Community.

Scan the code with your phone camera and immediately discover ways to move through, experience and learn from the exact place where you are - while helping to protect it by uploading images, sounds, notes and moods.

Watch Seaquer Eco-Points

Sitting underneath Seaquer is a powerful AI platform which analyses every image, every sound, every mood.

If the birdsong at your favourite bench changes, if your favourite tree needs some help, if that patch of grass where you like to sit is threatened with planning, you'll get an alert. And the data tools you need to respond. This is the power of a Community EcoData Platform.

Build your Seaquer Community

Be an Eco-Publisher

Seaquer Eco-Publisher accounts include access to powerful tools - allowing the people who understand local Nature to help their communities better enjoy, learn from, value and care for their environments and green spaces.

If there is Nature in your Community that you want to protect, Seaquer can help you to collect the data you need.

Eco-Publisher Accounts are also provided free of charge. All we ask is that you complete some basic training.

It's Time to Empower your Community.

With Seaquer, you create data and knowledge that empowers.

Your shared Eco-Notes, converted into information by the Seaquer AI platform, can feed into rich Knowledge Pools which help us to understand, care for and, ultimately, record for future generations all of our local nature and environments.

Whether tracking litter, insect populations or the health benefits of a green space, Seaquer empowers communities with the data they need to care and protect.
